I first saw Maetel's design a couple of years ago, and instantly fell in love with her elegant look, despite not having a clue who she was or what she was from. I ended up being so frustrated that I asked all of my friends if they knew, and luckily for me, Zaid was a huge Harlock fan, and immediately knew who she was. Fast forward to this year, when Zaid decided to put together his dream Harlock cosplay and asked a few of us to join a Harlock/ GE999 group he wanted to put together. I, of course, jumped at the chance to finally cosplay Maetel after I did a ton of research on her and watched way too much anime.
