Construction Details:

Natalia's dress is made with stretch sateen for a tiny bit of shine that would suit a battling princess! I made all of the bias tape, all of the ruffles, and I covered the buttons with material to match--making sure the colors looked good together was definitely one of my top priorities! For the sake of convenience, I connected the big poofy sleeves (possibly my favorite part of the costume) to the band that is part of the dress--there are snaps to connect the dress/sleeves to the blouse underneath. The blouse is made from the same sateen as the dress, the headband is suede, and the gold scarf is peachskin, which drapes very well.

I made the bootcovers to slide over the world's most uncomfortable pair of black pumps. The covers are knit because I wanted a more form-fitting boot. The boot cuffs are vinyl and the brown tights are something I picked up from H&M... come on, Natalia would totally shop at H&M!
The quiver started with a rolled up piece of posterboard that keeps the form of suede-back vinyl casing with a belt made of the same material. I bought the buckle set from Tandy Leather--they were really easy to attach to the belt.

Personal Thoughts:

You know what? Natalia started out as my least favorite from the main Abyss party. She was such a brat! Abyss wasn't too shy on character development, but I think it was extremely generous to Natalia because as I watched her go through her personal ordeals, she became my favorite. Making this outfit was fun and wearing this outfit makes me feel really pretty.

I don't know, guys. I just can't quit Tales cosplay.
