About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
OH man was this a project. I have never constructed anything like this before in my life and props were never my strong point so creating a prop that I would have to be inside of and actually be able to maneuver in was way over my head. But I created a plan, had a little Ravage figure as my guide and started cutting away.
The entire costume is made of craft foam, foam core board, and magic. At least that is what it seems like. It took 14 cans of spray paint to get it the right shade of gray/black and an entire package of hot glue. Some pieces got remade and reworked several times before it came to look like it does. The head is a bike helmet that I formed the pieces to. - Personal Thoughts:
- I am a huge Transformers fan and so I have always wanted to make a transformer costume but I always figured it was way above my skill level. This costume is in no means perfect but I am pleased that I am able to move, walk, turn..and just maneuver through a convention in it. I had to create a body that was longer then my actual body because of how a cat's body is and so this pushed me to my creative limits. I imagine this is a costume I will continue to modify and fix up as time goes on.
