Construction Details:

Dress is my second drafted pattern (probably why it's not the BEST work I've done...lol) and made of blue cotton sateen. The corset is a heavy bottomweight lined with ridgeline. The "petticoat" is a mix of toule and ruffled satin with the help of a serger. The cotton sateen has been treated with bleach and sodium thiosulfate. I bought the mask xD

Personal Thoughts:

FIRST OF ALL, THIS IS BASED ON A FANART SO THE DESIGN IS NOT MINE. CREDIT GOES TO THE INGENIOUS ARTIST! (I actually don't know the artist because my friend found the picture on 4chan and I haven't been able to find it, but if someone does please let me know so I can give the artist credit!! D: ) My friend approached me with a Kasuga fanart and I absolutely fell in LOVE with the dress. My friends also had plans to attend the ball/dance at Sakura-con, and since I don't have any nice cosplay dresses...this was an opportunity too good to pass up :] This was my first experience with ridgeline and bleach dying, which after minor frustrations, ended up being a LOT of fun to do (even if I bleached my favorite girly flats because of careless error ;_;). I can definitely tailor this better, but it's such a fun and comfortable dress. I love it and my sexy ninja dates ;D

Declipped ponytails, cut out individual wefts and stitching in the appropriate place :]
