About this Costume
Construction Details:
The dress was made out of white bridal satin from Joann Fabrics, and chiffon that I found at a fabric outlet in San Francisco. I hand embroidered the 'circles' on the top of the bodice with 5mm white beads, they were embroidered onto beige felt circles. The pearls on the bodice were flat back, and glued onto ribbon and then hand stitched on. The trim was also hand stitched. Arm props were made out of craft foam, and glossed with white paint. Wig was also styled by myself, with a little bit of help by my boyfriend.
Personal Thoughts:
I adore the manga design of the Princess Serenity dress. It's beautiful down to every detail. Do I think that I did it perfect? No. But I tried to do it justice the best to my capabilities and I'm happy with what I came up with. I put every ounce of effort into it I could. :)
