Construction Details:

For such a simplistic design, i needed to compensate for it to make it look good. Because PB is royalty, I did decide to make things shiny. The crown was made with double sided metallic gold card-stock with a glass blue jewel glued to it. It's light weight and looks like gold metal. ^__^ The fabric I bought was named bubble gum pink so I couldn't resist! Face paint brand is Snazaroo. Colors pink and white mixed together on my face. It was my first time working with face paint and I liked the finished result. Adjusted my Devilot hoop skirt to a more small bell shape under the dress to give it the shape of big on top but narrow on the bottom. Her hair is supposed to be made of bubblegum. I didn't want to use a wig with hair. I wanted something more solid. I wanted to use bubble tape LOL but figured it would have been quite messy in the heat! So I decided on fleece. ^_^ Made it like if I was making a hat with the round part on top and three pieces attached on. 2 for the front and one large piece for the back.

Personal Thoughts:

I am a HUGE fan of Adventure Time! Love all the characters!! Wanted to cosplay from this to show my love for it and decided on Princess Bubblegum. This is because she is typically kind and well-mannered, but her temper can be a powerful force when provoked. I can relate to that! Plus, candy and pink..perfect! <3 Go check out Adventure time if you haven't yet!!!
