Construction Details:

I LOVE Riku, even though I don't always love her fashion sense. Her finale outfit is the cutest thing she wears aside from her school uniform. I randomly had Riku's hair cut and colour, so I decided to whip up another of her outfits for a gathering. This is one of my favourite costumes ever-- sooo comfy! I made the hoodie myself-- dyed white sweatshirt fleece and patterned the hoodie myself. The layered collar and hood caused me some grief, but I finally got them patterned out right and assembled. I've never had this much trouble with a zipper before though. the extra bulk at the neck made installing it traditionally a nightmare, so I separated it, but then had to keep doing it over because it wouldn't match up. ARG! You'd think I hadn't already installed hundreds of zippers in my life! I meant to kill two birds with one stone and make a white dress for a different character to wear under the hoodie, since what shows is identical on both costumes, but I kept messing it up and threw together a simple skirt at the last minute. T shirt is one I already owned.
