Construction Details:: The black is streach suiting, white is cotton twill, petticoat is bleached muslin and 6" eyelet lace, gold squares and green dots are scrapbooking nail heads, gold cord is Christmas tree trim, and gold edging is lame bias tape. All trim is sewn on by hand using a hidden blind stitch. I originally made this to compete with my cosplay group, "Then No Life Kings" at San Diego Comic con International's 2008 Masquerade. We won 2nd for "Costume Recreation". That was an AMAZING experience! I used it with a different portion of my cosplay group to compete in the Anime Vegas 2008 masquerade and we won "Best in Show." After that, this version of Esther is officially retired from competing, but I still love wearing it!
