Construction Details:

Fabric for the dress came out of my bin of doooooom, and the cross was made by me, out of model magic and then painted silver. The jacket was some weird suiting I got on clearance at JoAnns. Its fully lined with casa lining, but I'm not a huge fan of how it came out. I am hopefully going to be able to go back and remake it out of a different material before I wear this costume again! The patches and shoulder pieces were hand drafted, painted, then heat-n-bonded on, and edged with zig-zag stitching. I made the mistake of actually finishing the costume - lining and all - before doing this, so I feel like it looks a little wrong, but its a good start. The bias tape trim on the dress was done properly (my first time - yay!), using Taeliac's tutorial on her deviantart.

Personal Thoughts:

I love Misato. I'm really glad I was able to finally make this dress, and act like a crazy drunk person (it also gave me an excuse to carry my PenPen around - thanks Matt!).

Styling Notes

My Aoi wig...with curled and steamed bangs. That's all! I think next time though, I'll be using a different wig. The bangs need more volume!
