Construction Details:

The dress is one piece, Casa Satin, and zips up the back with an invisible zipper. For the blue segments, I used leftover light blue spandex. The skirt portion is lined in light blue lining (also leftover from another costume, hurhur), too!

I also used Casa Satin for the waist cincher, but this stuff has some sparkle to it, which I really liked! The front laces are purely decorative, but it laces up for real in the back. It's lined, interfaced, and has rigilene boning in all the seams.

Leg warmers were sewn in a tube-like fashion, with the light blue spandex and white jet-set knit all sewn together like a striped quilt.

My hearts glow in the dark - I cast them with polyester (and then ran out and had to make one out of epoxy) resin, mixed pigment and glow powder in them, and a drop of shimmery pearl pigment, because I love sparkly things.

The wings are foamy sheets, with wire glued in between the layers to secure them (the wire forms a U-shape, which slips under the back of my dress). I glued EL Glowire around the edges of the wings, and they light up thanks to a 9 volt driver and battery, which I keep hidden in the back of the waist cincher. It looks really nifty when it's dark! Unfortunately, you can't really notice much when it's light outside, durrhurr.

I need a lollipop or some flan to pose with. :3 It will happen!
