About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
All parts of the outfit that required sewing were done by me. This basically encompasses the actual white dress, black pumpkin shorts, little vest bolero thing, and the minor hand sewing done to the shoes to attach the pom poms.
The arm sleeves (originally a pair of black tights) and tights (a second pair of black tights) were torn with a razor and a gratuitous amount of hair spray was used to prevent the holes from running even further. I had to wear the arm and leg tights while spraying. To attach the arm tights onto the bolero thing, I had to wear both of them and make adjustments to each arm so that the arm tights would fit onto me.
The white dress was patterned by me and the petal parts of the dress have craft foam in them to make them stand out. The (VERY BAGGY and VERY STUFFED) black pumpkin shorts helped to make the dress flare out. Clear straps and lots of fashion taped help with keeping the bodice up and not having my bewbs fall out of the outfit since I didn't use any boning in the bodice (not a good idea -_-). - Personal Thoughts:
- This was done for kikyouluver's Noah Family group!
Since I had done a closet cosplay version of Road a long time ago, I wanted to do her proper cosplay justice. She was, after all, one of my very first cosplays ever. :) I had a lot of guidance from Keita and SpookyElectric on the construction of the bodice and how to prevent my bewbs from popping out. |D;;
