...And the downward spiral continues, as I add yet another Detective Conan costume to my list. Shuu is one of the more interesting characters in the Conanverse, and he's also one of my favorites, so of course I had to cosplay him. Construction-wise, this is a pretty simple FO costume. The wig took a little styling, as it began as a punk-style spiked crazy thing, and had to be turned into Shuu's frizzled bangs, but at least most of it is hidden under the knit cap. Other than that, I just had to add buttons to the jacket and practice my eyeliner to get the weird under-eye-wings right. Ironically, Akai's costume -- which ought to be ridiculously easy (it's a motorcycle jacket, shirt, pants, short wig and knit cap) -- took me MONTHS to assemble from found items. Kaitou Kid's costume, which is far more complicated, took me maybe a week. Is there a moral here...?
