About this Costume
Construction Details:
The shirt is made of white poplin and using a poet shirt pattern in order to get the poofy sleeves. I added pink ribbon to the sleeves for a more feminine feel. Incidentally I added the ribbon backwards of that the more shiny side isn't seen. It's still pretty either way. :3

The skirt is made of two layers of red colored sateen cotton. The top layer is a brighter red and has a black venice floral lace handstitched to it. The original design is more of a black line with black circles, but I had always thought to use a floral lace for Hungary. This particular lace almost mimics the original design as well.

The vest is made of black brocade. It's actually an old vest I made when I first started cosplaying. I shortened the front a little and reinforced all of the edge seams with a zig zag stitch. I also added a black satin panel to the front to hide the shirt and skirt when the vest is laced up.
Personal Thoughts:
Alongside Taiwan, Hungary is perhaps my favorite female character in the Hetalia series. I liked the green apron outfit I made for my friend Holley, but I much prefer her more traditional dress.
