Construction Details:

Went shopping with Sundari-chan so our costumes would match in fabric. We decided on casa satin since it had all the shades we were looking for...except the carnation pink that was the main part of mine. I decided to get the light casa pink and dye it with petal pink. Well, dumb me thought that casa would be easy to dye. Found out the hard way that is not the case. Had to scrap that idea and look for the right color. After weeks of searching on line and to 2 other Joanns and a specialty store here in NH, I went sewfisticated near Boston and found this gorgeous charmeuse in the color I was looking for..like 4 days before the con!
The heart buttons were silver and I painted them gold. The lace I found was so cute and has small pink hearts that are the same color as the fabric! Nothing way out of the ordinary for this costume. Did learn a new way to construct the top.
