Construction Details:

A couple of things I needed were already in my wardrobe (jeans and belt), I just bought a cheap pair of trainers and a shirt. I dyed it with a leftover leafgreen dye I had sitting in my house for months and painted the pattern on it myself with a fabric pen. I made her bandana with a scrap of yellow fabric from my Mia costume and bought her trademark nerd glasses, which I customized adding the spirals with a POSCA grey paint marker, making my own eyes almost invisible but allowing me to see perfectly.

Since I didn't have a backpack like hers, I choose to wear one with multicolored Haros I own XD My boyfriend bought a Durarara!! poster at the con and it was an unexpected additional prop, along with a small Zeon badge I put on the pocket of my shirt.

Personal Thoughts:

This was such a last minute cosplay, but both myself and my boyfriend (Kyousuke) enjoyed them so much! XD We didn't have plans to go to this convention, but thanks to finally finding a job and having a free weekend, we decided to go about 2? 3? days before it started.

I really adored OreImo (and the True Route is just godly), and even though Saori doesn't get much screentime, I loved her oldschool otaku looks and mannerisms, her Gundam-love and her 'duality' (I won't say anymore to avoid spoilers). I felt that I'd be in-character just being myself! XD

But I couldn't have been Saori without the help of my friend Sae, who let me borrow a beautiful grey-blue wig which was perfect for her. Thank you so much, sweetie! >3
