Construction Details:

It was made with Chinese brocade... I couldn't find a Koi fish design..so I has to settle with Lucky circles...[wish Okita had luck as well Q___Q] The yellow fabric was excess fabric I had from another costume.... the red trim... was actually strips of excess red from another costume... I got the red frog buttons... and I did put in a thin inner lining/layer to thicken my vest.. the white sash and waist cloth [yesh two pieces] very easy... the waist cloth has 3 buttons... and the arm bands came from excess brown fabric I had too.. the theme here is excess fabric! most of this was done with rectangle patterns... I can't remember too much when I constructed this.. it took a span of a week... cuz I took a lot of breaks and only had dead of nite to make it... so if I complied the hours spent... it was probably 2-3 days of pure hand sewing, as usual of me... to hand sew....
