Construction Details:

Dress: Third successful dress without a pattern (first being Luka's JBF dress and second a formal Basara dress I know wtf lol). DRAPING WAS CRAZY!! Because I bought less fabric that I should have, I ended up using the cross gain of the satin to achieve a better drape effect, and thanks to my work's mannequin the bottom ACTUALLY looks good (after layers of satin, toule, and shiny toule, haha). Also learned about waist darts :p The gloves are large knit lace stitched together. HEADPHONES: All of the wire is electrical or speaker wire (aka you'd find it in a torn up stereo system, haha). The wings are craft foam and plastic colored transparencies. The design on the headphones is actually a screen print and made from fabric. Other than that...lots of glue and pliers and me cutting myself over cut wire, haha.

Personal Thoughts:

This is one of the those costumes that you get dragged into my your bff then by the end you're like, "THAT WAS SO COOL." HEADPHONES MADE ME CRY. I had a lot of difficulty with them considering I'm not a prop person at all...but draping was a great experience and I'd like to redeem myself with invisible zippers again. For my bfffffff
