Construction Details:

He's made out of honey-colored plush material and is stuffed with fluff and has a beanie butt with safety eyes & nose. The inner ears are faux suede that color-match the plush material. He's lined with matching cotton to make him more durable. The pocket and all hardware is hidden ^_~ and he has a cute burgundy double-faced satin bow.

The pocket is a cute pink inside since I think that's what Mikuru would want since she is often wearing that color and I felt as though that would be the one place that Haruhi (who dressed her in this outfit) wouldn't notice, and that Mikuru could get away with having a little bit of the color she really wanted to wear ^^;

The pocket is reinforced for stability and durability. It is designed on the inside with cons in mind, there is an elastic loop for cards such as hotel key, lip-gloss/lip-stick, a mirror, a place to keep the straps when not in use, etc...with a space in the center for other small necessitates.

The straps are modeled after Mikuru's belts but are faux leather instead of real leather. The black faux-leather strapping had silver-colored grommets on it. I used silver-colored buckles that matched Mikuru's, a well as silver-colored clips and other hardware to remain in keeping with Mikuru's design. There are 3 points of contact and 2 straps that are all interchangeable so that teddy can be worn in many different ways depending on the situation or carried with no straps and all hardware hidden.

Personal Thoughts:

I made this teddy bear myself to go with my Goth-Punk Lolita Mikuru cosplay. I often try to incorporate a bag or purse into all my cosplays since it makes going around the con so much easier and when I noticed the teddy on the floor in the artwork next to Mikuru I knew what must happen. XD
