Construction Details:

So much piping OTL ...... I decided early on how I wanted the costume to look/be made. For the most part its just how I wanted. I drafted a vest off an old jacket pattern and then cut it into strips with seam allowances. 24 metres of piping later .... Nothing was overly difficult, just time consuming. I put in two invisible zippers in the back of the vest in case I wanted to go with no wings. I had hoped to resin cast the buckle, however ran out of time and instead used craft foam and paint. I winged (get it, winged? =D *shot*) the head set by just twiddling away with a basic idea in my head. The circles are hat bases I found at a local costuming store and then covered with fabric/painted. Wings were hot glued together at 5am morning of con 8D awwwyeah.

Personal Thoughts:

I LOVE BAKUMAN! This is such a fantastic series, one that for a couple years Ive been all alone in the fandom. Recently a lot of my friends have gotten into it and finally cosplayed it! My thought process while deciding on this costume was, "I want to cosplay something from Bakuman... I want it to be epic" = CAW CAW! I was really nervous with how it would turn out, but am really happy with the final product. Also, I was really happy with how many people actually knew who I was XD
