Construction Details:

I had a lot of fun making this costume. Queen Zeal is a bitch. :) I told my friend Janell that I'd cosplay with her and her bf in a Chrono Trigger group. She said she was being Schala and I said I'd do Zeal. Thus the child abuse jokes began. The cape is made out of orange shantung with a posh eggplant lining. The lilac fabric and blue fabric is casa satin. Unfortunately the shantung fabric was seasonal so, I had to buy a different orange fabric for the dress. It was some sort of "All that glitters," type from what I remember. I also had this cool embroidery feature on my sewing machine that I lined along the blue satin. The armor, headpiece, necklace, and bracelets were made from foamies and model magic. A very last minute shoddy job. :/ The wig was dyed with Sharpies to give it a ice blue highlight effect to counter the silver. All in all, I loved LOVED this costume and had a ton of fun being a mean mother. Hehe.
