Construction Details:

This was my dream costume to make since I'm a HUGE Silent Hill fan. It was also my first cosplay type costume that involved more than throwing together store bought items. I found a great nurses dress on ebay that I was able to tailor to the correct size and fit. I have no experience with mold making or casting so I decided to make the mast out of fabric. I wanted it to look like skin or gauze. The mask pulls around my head to the back and actually laces up the back like a shoe, I thought this would give a creepier look. I also bought one of those cheap white masquerade masks to use as a base under the fabric mask. I layered paper and glue on the mask so that the base mask would make it look like my face was flat under the fabric mask. I also got really good at mixing blood colored acrylic paint, I found that using acrylic gave a more realistic blood color when splashing it on fabric. And I also made the pipe, it's a wooden dowel with a pipe fitting made from sculpy glued on the end (I've even tricked a few people with the pipe, they thought it was real!)
