Construction Details:

This costume was actually a duel effort between my Mom and I. We started with a basic white leotard, and then she made the skirt and sailor collar. I added the sleeves, styled the wig (originally I used my Eve cut wig from my Ayanami Rei costumes) and tweaked the gloves and boots. Joie (RamenNoodles) was responsible for the awesome props, like the headpiece, choker and light up goggles.

Styling Notes

I started with a Sepia wig "Perfect" was the style. It's a longer wig, but it gave me plenty to work with! I first put it on myself to figure out how short I wanted it. From there I put it on my wig head and began cutting in the bangs and some layers to give it a little more volume and shape! I was referencing the hair style they did for the Live Action Sailor Mercury, because I felt it was a nice realistic adaptation of how her hair was drawn.
