About this Costume
- Personal Thoughts:
- Air Gear is a fun, anime junk food series that has become a guilty pleasure of mine. Add in super cutie and mysterious Simca and it was only a matter of time before cosplay would happen! The whole dress is made from wrinkle-resist cotton denim with a peachskin finish and the skate covers (and the spankies you can't see) are Superstretch Lycra. Honestly, the only cumbersome part was drawing the pattern (and that wasn't even too bad). It wasn't a hard outfit to make at all! Yay for something comfortable and easy. The backpack is a converted Army map bag that is fully functional. The goggles came from a biker shop and were painted to look like the ones Simca wears. Same with the hat- that was purchased and altered due to time being so scarce. It works out pretty darn well, though! The skates are the ones I use for roller derby only I changed out the wheels and bearings to green outdoor ones. (Simca wears white ATs, but seeing as how ATs are fictional and white wheels in decent quality for quad skates don't exist, I went with SureGrip Aerobic wheels in kelly green). I also swapped out my orange toe stops for white ones. The wig is an AmandaS from CosWorx in pink with the bangs and styling added by me.
