Construction Details:

This costume was difficult because I had only three reference images: the original Amano art and two images released by Square. The game came out last week! Everything was made from scratch (except the earrings...and the boots. The boots are hiking boots that were painted with Angelus scarlet leather paint). The material is PVC. I drafted all of the patterns, except for the gloves (Butterick pattern). I had to handsew pleather strips over each finger of the gloves. The detailing on the gloves and hairpiece is white puff paint over pleather.The belt and arm pieces are made out of pleather over craftfoam. I used Swarovski crystals for the materia on the belt pouch and gloves. The base of the armor is craftfoam and metal washers. I covered it in epoxy resin and sprayed it with chrome. I'm in a hurry, I'll have to update construction details later!!!
