Construction Details:

my advice to anyone out there trying to make this coat- dont do it when you only have three days before a convention. The coat part wasn't that hard but the collar was pure leather and it was a complete witch to sew. So much blood and tears went into that collar alone. The bottom shirt and yukata were easily made and the pants are dickies pants. I bought a pair of old victorian shoes for this, and I also bought the black gloves. The wig was borrowed from a friend and literally took no styling. I was unfortunate not to have the swords for the main shoot. The coat itself is actually two jackets in one, since Aoshi's sleeves are wakko. Luckily this costume turned out to be really comfortable and one of my favorites to wear.
