Construction Details:

I looked up a tutorial on how to make Hakama pants, and went to town with it. Also used a kimono pattern for the top. It was all cotton broadcloth, I believe.

Personal Thoughts:

I had recently watched Ruroni Kenshin, and I thought Soujiro was pretty awesome. I loved his tormented backstory and considerably cheerful/polite personality that belied all of that (except in battle when he's BAT.SHIT.INSANE and shit gets CASH).

Um, I also had planned this costume to go alongside my buddy at the time who wanted to cosplay another one of the villains, but lol, NEVER WORKED OUT~
