Construction Details:

I made the costume out of a metallic black spandex, which is relatively easy to sew. I recommend it to any cosplayers that want a shiny look, but are afraid to take on the task of sewing vinyl. I love metallic spandex and even used it on my top for my Velvet cosplay. There are buckles and zippers galore on this costume. My least favorite part by far was taking on the task of the boot slip covers. Installing zippers to go -AROUND- my legs was extremely annoying, but I got it done ^^ I also played around a little bit with resin casting on this costume. I casted the cat ears for the hat. I meant to cast the claws, but I ran out of time, so I just made some quick ones out of sculpy. I have a few things I want to fix on this costume, before wearing it again, but for the most part I'm pretty happy with how it turned out :]

Personal Thoughts:

Haha, this costume is soooooooooooo out of character for me, but I had a lot of fun wearing it. My friend has been wanting to do a Batman cosplay for quite a while. Normally, I would have picked Ivy for myself (I love red hair :3), but my friend was going to cosplay her originally, but ended up cosplaying Zatanna in the end. I picked the Ame Comi costume because I found it to be cute and playful, and I'm not very good at playing the tough girl role. Plus, she has green eyes and long limbs like me in the figurine, which was a plus :] I can't wait to wear her again!
