Construction Details:

TRON! After seeing the movie, Quorra had to be made. I love her character design and she's such an iconic character. This costume was mindboggling, in other words not fun to sew. The base of the suit is a matte pleather fabric and the lights are EL wire, sewed into the suit. I wanted to pee in my pants when I sewed the EL wire throughout the suit because one wrong move with the needle and the whole EL circuit goes. And there's probably around 60ft of EL wire in there. The costume is not even close to being finished, but I decided to wear it out anyway. As you can see, alot of details are missing and I had alot of issues trying to receive materials before the con. For example, I ordered custom printed hex-fabric for the under suit, but the seller failed to get it to me in time. Or I ordered a series of LED lights for the Identity Disc mod and the day of the con, I found in my mailbox an orange slip saying "Sorry we missed you, please pick up your package at the post office". >.> Of course.... And I'm thinking of re-working the wig. No time + rush cut = bad results. I'll finish it up for the next con and make it better but despite it being unfinished, it was a BLAST to wear at night. So much Tron love going around, makes me feel all warm and bubbly. Daft Punk too!
