Construction Details:

Fabric is tye-dye stretch velvet. The fins and the skirt were made out of silky solid from Joanns. The fins have foam inserts and the skirt is a combination of steam a seam, heat n bond, and floral wire. Both the fins and skirt were hand painted. Headband was done the same way. Leggings actual go into a unitard so I wouldn't have a waistband. The shoulders and collar are held up with craft foam inserts. Wings are made from 12g aluminum floral wire and cellophane. The "viens" are puffy paint, and the insides were painted and glitter was added before sandwiching the cellophane together. The outside was airbrushed for a smoother look.

Personal Thoughts:

I love the Tinkerbell movies and fell in love with Vidia's attitude. I loved wearing this costume and can't wait to wear it again.

Styling Notes

Wig is actually an Angela 750 for the base and the ponytail itself is a Cher from New Look over a 6in Styrofoam ball. Black Cherry wefted extensions were added randomly to the wig to give a purple highlight effect.
