Construction Details:

I was feeling ambitious you can say. I decided because I couldn't find any striped fabric that I liked or any stripes that went vertical for that matter, I would make it myself. I cut out 2" strips of red and 4" of pink. I sewed them together to make the top part of the skirt. I found an adorable valentine's cookie pattered fabric that I knew would be perfect for the loli meet up was going to! I sewed on the white lace on the bottom. Then realized that the bottom seemed too busy compared to the top. That is when I added the lace in the middle to make it look a little more balanced. Large bow made out of the cookie fabric. Lastly, the cookie buttons were made by me. Made out of sculpey and then painted to look like the cookies in the fabric. Hand stitched them to the blouse.
