Construction Details:

Originally, there wasn't an official colored version, just a chibi version from Himaruya's blog. So at first, some of the colors were based from a fancoloring, and others I made up. Then of course, months later (although before I could debut it) an official colored version came out! I bought a red hoodie and sewed on the white background. I wanted to keep the existing pockets, so I had to cut slits for them and cover the edges. The maple leaves are traced from the Canadian flag onto interfacing, which I covered with red fabric and then glued them to the white. The beret I bought and then made the leaf pin similar to the maple leaves on the jacket. The other pieces for both versions are my closet or other costumes. The blue suit was thrifted for another costume and I'm glad I kept the blazer! I need a new beret, though.

Personal Thoughts:

I really adore all of the official Nyotalia sketches, but Canada really stood out to me, so I picked her to be the one I'd cosplay. :)

Styling Notes

First I used a Cosworx Clover Wig in color wig (this is the straight wig in earlier photos). I cut about four inches off that wig. With both wigs I pulled them into low ponytails, tied with elastics. Originally I adorned with bows, but then switched to a different type of hair tie when the design changed. With the Clover, the hair was a little thin there but luckily, the beret covered it up! The Ferrari is much thicker and has less problems in that department.
