About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
Made in tandem with the War of Austrian Succession Spain outfit I made, which was a little crazy. (For that matter, I need to go back and fix a few things up - got very sloppy at the end...) Coat is a cotton fabric, which was fairly easy to work with, despite the pattern being the most stubborn pattern I have probably ever worked with. The dress/tunic and cuffs of the coat are a polyester suiting fabric, which is very slippery and hard to sew. The gold panel in the front is a sari fabric, and the rest of the gold is trim. The sash is made from cotton as well, and was freehanded off of an old Girl Scouts sash. The hat was purchased - I added lace and a bow to it personally. All in all it was a lot of work, and I really need to go back and make the details a lot better. Also sadly, I hardly have any photos of this costume. I seem to have bad luck in that regard.

- Styling Notes
- Quickly put into a ponytail and tied with a ribbon. Very little frills.
