Construction Details:

Easiest costume yet. I threw together a black jacket from a simple pattern, out of fleece, and trimmed it in purchased fur. A sports zipper was used. I shopped for the v-neck shirt and used our Shinra's wig (once we figured out my purchased Izaya wig worked way better for her, we traded) for the shoot. Rings were purchased from a craft store. I really hope to redo this another time when my weight is better.

Personal Thoughts:

I remember being instantly intrigued by Durarara!! when it first started gaining popularity...something with a lot of night shots and caution tape, and attractive young men getting into dogfights? I ended up loving it, and when we went to cosplay it as a group, got cast as a character that's so outside my archetype, it's almost comical. I'm never, ever the villain, let alone the slimy, skinny little bastard Izaya is. He was way too much fun to be, though--heading to our back alley location, walking around like a douchebag and generally pissing off my Shizuo any chance I got. Also, goddamn it, this cosplay made me ship Shizaya fffffff.
