Construction Details:

Saber is sewn from black & gray bridal satin. The gray underskirt is 3 different lengths of gathered & serged fabric. Same with the lace around the sleeves & the neck. The black overskirt is removable from the underskirt via snaps. The waist cincher is made from stiff black upholstery PVC, grommets & ribbon. I still need to add boning to it to give it the right shape when cinched. The sword is my re-painted sword from Amoretta Virgine. THe petticoat is purchased from a rockabilly online store. It was originally supposed to be for my Magnet Luka, but ended up being perfect for Saber.

Personal Thoughts:

I've been looking for an excuse to make one of Saber's outfits, & I really love that I got to use my yellow contacts for something other than Nuala or Lilith (although I think I look like a creepy porcelain doll in this outfit with the contacts in). I was happy to get to sew this for Animeangel's Unlimited Saber works group, that ended up just being myself & Minakokitty (lulz). I'm also insanely happy with how the wig turned out.

Styling Notes

A fairly simple method. Pulled the hair into a mid-height ponytail & turned it into a bun. Held the bun in place with bobby pins & wrapped a braided extension around it. I sealed/stubbed the braid on both ends with a heat gun to avoid using ponytail holders & having them be visible. Pinned the braid in place & tucked the stubbed ends underneath each other. Wrapped a ribbon carefully around the braid & tied it into a bow <3
