Construction Details:

My grandma helped me pattern and make the costume. I still was doing the sewing for it, but it was fun for us to work on together. Well, except she didn't really understand why the skirt was so short, but that's anime for your grandma lol. I also had made her wand weapon out of cardboard and clay, but I have no pictures of it.

Haha, this is super embarrassing, but I wanted to post this. This is my first cosplay that my Grandma helped me make for my first anime convention. I think this was in 2002 for Shoujocon in NJ which no longer exists. I was SO excited to wear this costume. I was very into Tenchi Muyo, and wanted to cosplay Pretty Samy because she's so cute. I didn't really think about wigs at that time.
