Oh, the Scout! Probably tied for the number one spot of my favorite costume (it's like, a multi-way tie). With help from Saeru and Elemental and Aya Blue, I made my Scout bag and hemmed a pair of trousers and put elastic in the bottoms. Scout was very much a learning experience--I made him in June of 2009 for Colossalcon and didn't exactly know what I was doing half the time. The shoes, shirt, socks, and wraps are all purchased (as well as most of my hats, with modifications). The wraps are Johnson + Johnson hurt free bandages. Sandman was made from a "Slammer" foam bat, the ones that get sold around springtime at TRU and Walmart. I gave it a new paint job and the tape. I owe a lot to Sporkbot for the inspiration and help on this one.
