Construction Details:

This costume was a doosie! The embroidered petticoat alone took me more than 300 hours to do! It's nine yards of more fabric and enough thread to get me to the moon!

The blue edging/trim is satin baby blanket binding ironed within an inch of it's life and hand sewn on using a blind stitch. I used a heavy polyester fabric for the white because it's supposed to be a field uniform in theory, but I fully lined it in a light cotton to make it more comfortable. Shoulder holster is made of the softest vinyl ever, along with pieces of 4 belts, western snaps, and silver rivits. The patterns are all hand-drafted. (Whoever invented dressforms needs to be Sainted!)

The arrows are made with sculpee and pinbacks. Most of my armor bits are made from sheet plastic and craft foam.

Styling Notes

My friend xxkagetoraxx styled it for me using. . . of all things. . . watered down Elmer's Glue! I was truly reluctant for her to try this, but now I love it! A nuclear appocolypse could happen, and this wig would still keep it's style!
