About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
This is first dress I've ever made. I used bridal satin and a Simplicity pattern for it. The base wasn't hard at all to make, instead I had problems with the ruffles. The thicker satin proved to be too hard to ruffle by hand because I didn't have the proper sewing foot, so I opted for a thinner satin in the end. The beads for the straps were a lucky find at Fashion District. Perfect color and size imo, but they're really heavy and snapped the first time I wore this outfit. :C The three black dots on the front are actually little sakura buttons for an added subtle cuteness. The hair flower is made of the same satin as the dress with wooden beads painted and glossed the correct colors, then all of it was sewn onto a hair clip.
- Personal Thoughts:
- Please don't ask if I'm excited for the movie. I'm so over the series. It killed enough of my brain cells the first season and I think that's about as much of this moe moe kyun I can take.
