About this Costume

The pattern was made from scratch. Four panels made up the cape (four more if you include burgandy lining) to fall well onto the shoulders. The Black outter part of the cape, and the lining was attached to give a "reversable effect". The cape then was gathered at the top to attach to the hood and a gold clasped was attached inside to close the cape. I made my pendant out of gold premo sculpy clay, pressed into the clay the pentagram symbol, baked, and spray painted gold. I thrifted the shoes, and shirt. The shirt I altered a tid bit to make sure it had the "V" on the bottom of it in the front and back. Pleated skirts are always a challenge, and this one was not excluded! I actually called upon the help of Caine for this one. I bought a bit too little fabric so we had a few small pleats, large pleats, but I'll most likely re-make it properly soon.
- Personal Thoughts:
- I seen Zero no Tsukaima floating around, and thought that I haven't heard of this series before and decided to try watching it. I loved it, fell in love with it, and thought Louise was a more dramatic/snobby version of me. I also really loved the love connection between Saito and Louise. So it gave me more inspiration to do it when my boyfriend was excited about doing Saito along with me!
