Construction Details:

The shirt, skirt, and Nerv badge were all made from scratch- the skirt was my old 20's Bat Girl skirt from 2007 with a new hem, kick vent, zipper and faux belt added to it. I'm pretty sure I have had that zipper for the shirt with the intention of making Ritsuko since about 1998, her being one of the first cosplays I wanted to do. I guess I was never old enough for her until now, haha. The lab coat is heavily altered from one I ordered online- it's been darted, brought in at the sides, vented, and had the collar adjusted and tacked to keep the shape of the characters. I wouldn't say this costume was hard, but a lot of the alterations were time consuming. Still, totally worth it. I've been wanting to cosplay her for years.
