Construction Details:

This was pretty much the worst thing to make ever. The fabric (of which there aren't really any good detail shots) is custom-printed spandex from Fabric on Demand. The rest of this outfit is made with craft foam, sequin spandex, real metal studs, emergency hot gluing, and PAIN. I ran out of time to cast a hollow version of the mask worn underneath the hood and figured I'd be fine wearing it for a while. No, I really wasn't. I not only have trouble seeing out, but I can't breathe very well and have to take the above-the-neck part off after 15 minutes at the absolute maximum. That combined with the mask + crown combo taking another person or two to help me get on means that I didn't get to wear this around at a convention very much, nor did I get many pictures that con. I'm lucky to have the ALA backstage photo booth pictures, and the photoshoot I was able to do in 2012 before I asphyxiated myself. If I ever make something like this again, I've got a LOT of problems that I need to fix! #badspandexdecisions

Personal Thoughts:

I never thought I could make a Stand. This was a lesson in tears and craziness and the power of multiple types of glue, and yet despite all the terrible, I loved it so much. Thanks to Maguma for wearing the Pucci costume with me. I've wanted to wear this pair of costumes for several years now, so it was really like a dream come true!
