Since the illustration (http://i53.tinypic.com/uom5d.jpg)was only black and white, I chose the colors myself. I modified a blazer pattern to make the coat. The coat itself is made of alova (I like it since it looks a bit like velvet but is muuuuch easier to sew)and is lined with the same and trimmed with fur. The skirt has two layers, an ice blue and a sheer overlay with silver snowflakes. It was my first time using a sheer fabric but it wasn't bad at all *-*; The collar/scarf/ascot-thing and earmuffs are made of fur. The snowflakes are wooden ornaments painted with silver and glitter paint, with gems and pearls added. The purse is fur with a decorative panel on the front and is lined with navy/white striped cotton to match the strap and bow. The bloomers are from my Shinku costume, (the lace reminded me of icicles ^^) and the boots and gloves were bought on ebay.
- Personal Thoughts:
- Crazy earmuffs! XD I think I'm going to remake the headband part so it's wider and more like a little cap. Otherwise, I love this costume so much! Blue is one of my favorite colors, and Kobato is one of my favorite characters and Winter is my favorite season so this all makes me very happy X3
