About this Costume
Construction Details:
♥~Ears & Antlers~♥
Made from felt scraps I had around, a headband from CVS, and some holly leaves & berries from a small craft store down the road.

I had a bit of a tough time getting them to look right since I wanted plump little antlers. Once I figured it out it was fairly easy to cut & sew from the felt and attach to the headband.

The holly was a combination of two floral things from the mini craft store; since one had the good leaves (in a 3 leaf cluster so I had to remove one) and another thing had good holly berries. I did fraycheck the leaves since they seemed to have the tenancy to fray and whatnot. ^^;

I love how adorable the headband came out and I totally wear it without the cosplay since it can pass for cute normal Christmas gear XD

♥~Choker & Bell~♥
It's a nice wide velvet ribbon (also from the mini craft store) that I added on a velcro adjustable closure in the back and then I sewed a giant bell onto it. (which I just happened to have, oddly enough)

♥~Top~♥
Made out of some leftover fabric from making a teddy bear for Mikuru's goth-punk lolita version, I know it's not 100% color accurate but it was the closest to the figure that I could find.

I had to make the pattern from fitting the pieces on me and then putting in darts and cutting the appropriately sized hole.

♥~Skirt~♥
Made from the same fabric as the top. The skirt was a simple straight-forward micro-mini skirt. Fully lined with basic cotton, since I was afraid the fuzzy stuff would be itchy. I also used a nice metal zipper made for jeans since I wanted to have a zipper that was sturdy enough since the fabric was so stiff.

♥~Shoes~♥
Got at the mini-mall down the street. They're just basic white flats...I was hoping for something with a slight heel but that proved impossible for some reason, but the ones I ended up with are still way cute. XD
Personal Thoughts:
When we set up out Christmas tree I suddenly really wanted to make a Christmas version of Mikuru and since I had some leftover fabric from making a teddy bear for Mikuru's goth-punk lolita version, some felt scraps lying around, and a random giant bell I figured why not. XD (I had all but the zippers, headband, ribbon for bell, holly sprig, and shoes...all of which were easily obtained within a mile radius from my apt.) =P
