Oh my God... I've decided that when I'm older and a little bit wiser, I'll redo it. But for now... hello prototype? I did the main parts in about a week... If you look up close, the seams look like crap. I can't sew very neatly, but from a distance (at least a foot), the dress looks pretty decent. But I absolutely hate the jacket, hate the sleeves of my dress, and hate the obi. Ugh...When I redo this stupid thing, I'll keep the dress underneath but redo everything else so that it's accurate looking. I think I'll use a brighter gold and a darker pink. Hm... My friend Laura took the costume and finished it off with all the embellishments (the pain of pink and bells!)- much love and appreciation!
