Construction Details:

As a last minute decision, I made the "Toad Hat" to throw together a quick costume for a con. The Toad Hat is made from polar fleece and felt. The white part is four petal-shaped pieces that I sewed together to make the main part. The red dots were hand-tacked on and over top of the seams. The seams aren't really that noticeable in pictures, but the dots helped hide them too. There is an additional piece that works as a "hat band" that is attached to the main white part that flips up inside of the hat. To finish, I broke up some stuffing and got the hat good 'n' fluffy! There are a couple of things I could have done differently to make the Toad Hat more polished (not hand tacking the dots, attaching a final circle piece to the "hat band"), but since I was rushed, it turned out all right! The rest of the costume, shirt, pants, and shoes, is some stuff I already had. The "PJ bottoms/long john pants" I modified slightly so that they looked more like "harem pants". (Ha! Harem Toad! XD)
