Construction Details:

This was my second attempt at this costume. First was made out of casa satin. I didn't like the weight of the fabric and the look of it. I then decided on velvet. Soooo much better!! It has a white cotton nightgown with the buttons sewn on to it. I attached loops on the red to attach to the buttons so everything becomes one piece. I also sewed on the scallop pieces that I bought to add to the edges of the velvet. It was a small detail I wanted to do for accuracy.I got these large gold oriental buttons at Joann's that matched pretty well. Used a pattern for a bathrobe. It ended up being perfect! Wore my yellow contacts for those creepy snake eyes he has and very little make up (only eye liner and a dark blush to make more masculine features)and nude lipstick is my favorite to use when crossplaying.

Personal Thoughts:

Perfect costume for me right now since Ayame is the same age as me! I am very flamboyant (just like the character)so it was so easy to be him when I wore this.I loved being a bishonen and a flirt.Best part with this costume on I get all the ladies.*thumbs up* I wore it also to match with Zen Erik's fantastic Yuki costume. The interactions between these characters are so much like us in real life that it was a no brainer on me doing this costume! People actually thought we were related in real life! LOL ahhahah Maybe because we pick on each other and tease like we are siblings!
