Construction Details:

This was a real quick one to make. The majority of the costume is cotton with the shorts being a cotton that had 5% lycra in it.

Personal Thoughts:

I just adore Hayate. The series is hysterical and I love all of the old school references. When we meet the pink haired student council president, I knew it would only be a matter of time before some kind of Utena reference was made. Utena after all these years is still my favorite series, so I liked the idea of paying homage to it through Hayate. This outfit is the one that Hinagiku wears during the butler competition at the school. The best part of this costume was telling everyone who thought that I was cosplaying Utena that they were wrong. I got a lot of confused expressions.
