Construction Details:

I think I did go a little bit to far with my detail fetish and made this costume authentic as possible to recreate the classical look just like in the manga and anime.
Since there are tons of Ed cosplayers I have put up some rules for myself:

Only materials from the 1910s are allowed, polyester and other synthetic stuff is forbidden. Except for the automail and the bottom of the boots since I am not a shoetailor xD
So yeah I have made this costume more difficult.

Fabrics used:

Coat: Melton Wool lined with linen fabric
Jacket: Wool gabardine lined with linen fabric
Shirt: cotton
Pants: real leather
Belt: real leather
Boots: militairy boots modified with real leather and rubber

Other stuff used:

Wig: Butterscotch blonde, made a french lace front, cutted and styled by myself
Automail: Foam, gesso, clay and paint
Lenses: ColorVUE Glamour Honey

Styling Notes

This was a long base wig with waves in it. First I made the wig straight with hot water. After the wig was dry I cutted of the front very carefully. On place I sewed some skin colored tulle. On the tulle I knotted the hairs one by one by using the hairs I cutted of in the beginning to make a french lace front. After the lace front was done, I cutted and styled everything.
