About this Costume
Construction Details:
I had some trouble with the collar...until I realized that it's exactly the same as Hazama's collar. I started this costume years ago, when I wasn't very good at making costumes, so the lining and outer shell don't line up very well. Fabric is a really gorgeous fabric vinyl, which is annoying to work with, but looks really nice. A medium gauge wire was put into the collar to get it to stand up better. The zippers on the sleeves of the jacket are non-functioning -- I was originally going to have to functioning, but I didn't see the point in unzipping the hem off the jacket. Studs for the belt and bracelet are pyramid studs that I did with a my thumbs and a pair of pliers. The bracelet with the studs actually has wire in the hem, so that it can be reshaped for different poses.
Personal Thoughts:
I started Shiki years ago, but I couldn't find crosses that I liked, so I was just lazy on the costume. So right before NYAF/NYCC 2010, I find one of the crosses at Walmart. I tell GunblazeEX about how I'm looking for the other cross, and later that day, he finds it for me
