About this Costume

As soon as the Scotty P. game came out I was like "OH SHIT I'M DOIN' THIS". I strived really hard to make this costume accurate and I think I did a decent job. The wig was used from my previous Ramona costume because I couldn't afford a new one. For Sakuracon I bought a new wig and custom dyed it to fit her retarded in game colors. I also styled the back to be flippy but since it was in a bag on the way to con it kind of flattened out. Goggles were also left over from my previous Ramona. I think I went through and bought at least 6 hoodies before I found one in a color I liked. I couldn't find the right color fabric or I would have made it myself. I managed to find the perfect color on the American Apparel site right when they were having a sale. It's a California Fleece sweater in Blueberry! It was way bigger then I thought so I basically ripped the entire thing apart and put it back together. Everything was taken in, I added the stripes, and brought up the sleeves. Shoes were a pair of vans that I painted. I wanted a pair of accurate shoes~ Socks were bought from sockdreams.com, and the choker was just a bit of ribbon that I sewed snaps onto. Hammer was made from a base of a bunch of Styrofoam layered together which was covered in brown packing paper and glue. I then covered the whole thing in bondo and started the long process of sanding the damn thing. After I got it smooth I filled up all the holes with a layer of wood filler, sanded, and painted it. The handle screws in and out and I made sure to not forget the bell! Purse was a new purse I made just for Sakuracon. The front bases of the purse are made in wood and then covered in canvas, the sides were made of foam covered in canvas. I pretty much made it all in my hotel room with hot glue and fucked some of the measurements pretty hard but I think it came out ok for now. Gotta give a shoutout to SrsRazzmatazz for giving me help on how to make my new bag!
- Personal Thoughts:
- Ramona is boss. This is probably my favorite Ramona costume to date.
